Btw, that link was one of the first listings I found for ethanol. It is 96% pure, you want 99% pure at least for this

Can’t get the ethanol through the mail here but I can probably find some at a pharmacy in 100 ml bottles.

If you can get pure ethanol in small bottles then that would be ideal. It will just be how you weigh out the dye to get the right concentration. 0.16g/L would obviously translate to 0.016g or 16mg/100ml.

530 excitation, 532?

532 is fine. Just means peak excitation is 530nm. Just fine for YAG SHG

I am seeing some Coherent dye lasers which all have bifringement crystals, do you know why they are used?
