I just thought I’d share this:
We spend so much time preventing lasers getting into our eyes, and now we want to mount lasers on them. 
Could be interesting though. May lead to other uses.
Why? IR for distance measuring? I can’t yet imagine why else to make such a thing, but then you would need circuitry to run that.
